PSG and Brazilian sensation Neymar has reportedly been spotted on a house-hunting mission in Barcelona, spicing up his rumoured return to the Catalonian club. If the move finally materialises, this will be the second time Neymar has played for them, having moved to the French champions PSG from Barcelona, on a record transfer fee of 222 million euros, becoming the worlds most expensive player.

It is believed that the Argentinian footballer Lionel Messi has voiced his preference to the club’s board about playing together with Neymar, instead of Antoine Griezmann who also has been a Barcelona target. It has been reported that Neymar has reached out to PSG’s chiefs expressing to return “home” where he should not have left. A PSG chief is quoted as saying that the club comes before an individual, making it almost sure that Neymar is heading out of the French capital.

Barcelona’s Conditions for Neymar’s Return

With a switch from Paris on the cards, Barcelona has given some conditions which must be met first for the deal to go through. These conditions involve both the player and the clubs and include:

  • Approval from all staff members

With the deal to sign Antoine Griezmann almost done, the staff must agree on how both players can be utilised since they both play similar roles and positions. This would lead to one player being sacrificed, which might be a tough call to make.

  • Lower annual wages

With the Brazilian receiving 30 million euros per year at the French capital, Barcelona is not willing to match this salary and will request the player drops his demands if he wants to make the switch.

  • Convince other players to swap to PSG

With PSG demanding the full amount paid to buy the player, Barcelona has suggested a cut-price and a swap of either of the following players; Ousmane Dembele, Ivan Rakitic or Samuel Umtiti. However, PSG is much more interested in the services of Philippe Coutinho.
